PCB on metal substrates

Metal core PCB (MCPCB) is characterized as by having metal base such as aluminum, copper or steel and layers of the circuit on them. Metal base material has better thermal conductivity and shielding effect than conventional FR4 material. MCPCB can take advantage of incorporating a layer with high for lower thermal resistance. With rapid development of electrical industry PCB board requires higher density circuits and generates more heat when operating. If there is too much junction temperature inside PCB board, components on the PCB boards would be damaged. MCPCB are used widely to solve this issue.
